Tucked away in eight beautiful acres on the northern edge of Worcester, The River School is a small, independent Christian school and nursery for boys and girls aged 2 to 16.
For more than 40 years, we have believed that high-quality independent education should be accessible to more families. Our deliberately affordable fees offer families the opportunity to experience the benefits of small classes, individual attention and a close-knit school community, without the price tag they might expect.

At The River School, children don't disappear into the crowd. Small classes and a high staff-to-pupil ratio mean teachers really know their pupils: their strengths, personalities, interests and where they may need encouragement or greater challenge.
And education here extends far beyond the classroom. Our eight-acre site includes a Forest School, orchard, apiary, walled gardens, sports field and outdoor gym, while gardening, community service, clubs and activities give pupils opportunities to develop their interests, character and confidence.
Our Christian faith is at the heart of school life and shapes an education centred on love, compassion, courage, service and the inherent worth of every individual. We welcome families of all faiths and none.
We are not academically selective. Our admissions process is about getting to know your child and family and considering whether The River School is the right environment for them to flourish.
