About this Event

THE REWRITE | A 1HOPE Reading & Conversation Experience is an in-person gathering for the local community.

Every woman has a story. Some parts we share freely. Others we carry quietly.

This fall, 1HOPE - the Emerging Life Church Christian Care & Counseling Ministry invites women from the local community to experience THE REWRITE - A Reading & Conversation Experience.

Our Fall 2026 selection is Black Girl Therapy: Every Girl Has a Number. What's Yours? by Tre Floyd and Aisha Dudley.

Through the stories of 18 women, the book explores experiences involving emothional, health, trauma, vulnerability, relationships, church hurt, fear, healing, and the need for support. As we read their stories, we are invited to reflect on our own.

Whats your number? What part of their stories resonated with you? And what might be ready for a rewrite?

Join us for lunch and a relaxed, meaningful conversation as we share insights from the book, discuss the stories that connected with us, and explore what they can teach us about our own emotional well-being.

THE REWRITE is not a traditional book club. It is an opportunity to read together, reflect personally, connect with other women and create space for honest conversations about emotional wellness, healing and growth.

You do not have to share anything personal that you are uncomfortable discussion. Come ready to listen, reflect, connect and enjoy the conversation.
