This Qur’an answered a sincere search for truth at a time of ignorance. And it began an unprecedented Prophetic mission. The revelation challenged the rich elite, empowered the weak and declared that God was One. It narrated inspiring stories of Abraham, Moses, Mary and others.
1400 years later, Actor-Poet Junayd Islam retells this history with enthralling one-man theatre.
The Revelation Which Inspired Muhammad is the product of serious study into the Islamic tradition.
For several years, Junayd has experimented with how theatre can bring the Qur’an to a new audience, and he is honoured to present these enthralling performances for touring.
As part of the Cambridge Festival of Islamic Arts, Junayd Islam is delivering the first two episodes of this acclaimed theatrical series. He will be performing at the Cambridge Islamic College, a community space which now hosts theatre alongside its lectures and youth programs.
