About this Event
Join us for an alternative Irish cultural celebration exploring the richness and diversity of the Irish diaspora, centring multi-heritage Irish voices and communities who have often felt unseen within traditional celebrations of Irish identity.
Hosted by acclaimed broadcaster and bestselling author Emma Dabiri and presented by Wake The Beast, The Really Irish? House Party is a joyful collision of live music, DJs, spoken word, storytelling, conversation and dancing, celebrating the many different ways of being Irish today.
Bringing together multi-heritage Irish communities, Irish Travellers, LGBTQ+ voices and the wider Irish diaspora, the House Party creates space for stories, experiences and perspectives to be celebrated.
Part performance, part conversation, but full PARTY, it's an opportunity to celebrate the creativity and cultural richness of multi-heritage Ireland, challenge assumptions, make new connections and explore the changing face of Irish identity.
Whether you were born in Ireland, have Irish roots, come from a multi-heritage background, have a complicated relationship with your Irishness, or are simply curious about what being Irish means today, there's a place for you at the party.
Come for the music. Stay for the conversation. Be part of the story.
