In this workshop, we'll explore how to leverage your role to advocate effectively and empower clients to advocate for themselves.
From housing instability and unsafe living conditions to employment disputes and educational barriers, knowing when and how to advocate can make a meaningful difference in a client's well-being and quality of life.
You’ll learn how to:
- Advocate for clients while empowering them to speak up for themselves.
- Ask the right questions to assess needs and know when to refer out.
- Connect clients with external resources when their needs exceed your scope.
This workshop is presented by Maty Ferrer Hoppmann, a community leader and advocate with over 15 years of experience. Maty currently serves as the Director of Centro para Familias Hispanas and is also a speaker and independent consultant, sharing her expertise to support and strengthen communities.
Refreshments will be provided.
