About this Event
After a little time away, we’re heading back to PUCK for an autumn afternoon of creative writing, playful prompts and unexpected directions. The sessions can be few and far between but each one so far has been pretty magical. So, if you’re reading this, I hope you can make this one. 💛
The format is simple: I bring the prompts, you write whatever they spark.
You might end up with a tiny story, a dramatic monologue, three excellent lines and a paragraph you immediately hate, or something you had absolutely no intention of writing when you sat down. All valid.
We’ll be at PUCK from 1–3pm on Saturday 3 October, settling in with coffee, good music and plenty of words.
PUCK is an independent, musician-run, vinyl-spinning, art-soaked creative space in Brighton, which makes it a very good place to sit with a notebook and temporarily become the sort of person who writes in cafés. ☕🎶
There’ll be a mix of prompts throughout the session, with time to write after each one. You can follow them closely, completely derail them, go funny, dark, weird, serious or somewhere in between.
No experience needed. No pressure to share. No one is going to ask what your “process” is.
Come alone, bring a friend, order something nice and spend two hours making stuff up.
That’s it, really.
