About this Event
What happens when the final bell rings… but the music doesn’t stop?
After a long day of rehearsal, a group of students make a spine-tingling discovery: a mysterious figure is playing the piano in their school’s music room—long after everyone else has gone home. With the help of their teachers, well-meaning principals, and a few comically ineffective deputies, the students set out to uncover the truth behind the late-night melodies.
Is it a ghost? A prankster? Or something even more unexpected?
Filled with humour, suspense, and a delightful musical score inspired by classical favourites, The Phantom of the Music Room is a charming whodunit that celebrates curiosity, courage, and the joy of making music together.
Performed by over 50 singers from the Canadian Children’s Opera Company’s Junior Division (Intermediate, Apprentice, and Ruby Choruses), making the performance a heartwarming showcase of developing young singers.
The 3 p.m. performance of this lively production also features a special pre-show performance by our youngest artists in the Butterfly Chorus.
