About this Event
Contemporary Portrait
Adult Art Workshop | May 31, 2026
Step into the world of contemporary portrait painting where a “portrait” is no longer just about perfect likeness, but about capturing mood, character, and a moment in time.
Today, your subject could be anyone: a friend, a fellow artist, someone you noticed on the bus, or even a face imagined from memory. Contemporary artists often focus on feeling over precision—using colour, texture, and expressive brushwork to tell a story.
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll explore how to simplify facial features, experiment with colour, and create a portrait that feels personal and modern.
