About this Event
Your pelvis is more than a collection of muscles, bones, and organs. It's a part of your body that deserves to be understood, felt, and connected with.
For many women, our relationship with our pelvis and intimate parts is shaped by reproductive health, medical exams, and intimacy. But what if this part of your body has something to offer you beyond all of these experiences?
Join Taylor Tatum at The Living Room FoCo for an approachable introduction to the anatomy of the pelvic bowl, followed by a guided meditation exploring body awareness, personal insight, and your relationship with this often-overlooked part of yourself.
In this 90-minute workshop, we'll explore:
- Understanding your pelvic bowl: Learn the basics of pelvic anatomy, the function of the pelvic floor, and how physical tension and emotional experiences can intersect in this part of the body.
- Listening inward: Through a guided meditation, we'll move beyond the logical mind to explore our personal relationship with our pelvic bowl, making space for whatever thoughts, feelings, sensations, or insights arise.
- Sharing in sisterhood: We'll close with an opportunity to share, reflect on your experience, and discuss your relationship with this part of your body. Sharing is optional; listening in is always participation as well.
You don't need any prior experience with meditation or pelvic work. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to get curious about a part of yourself that may not always receive your attention.
A little about the inspiration behind this work:
Over the past two years, Taylor has been exploring this work in her own life, and she's experienced how nurturing a relationship with the pelvic bowl has helped her speak her truth, express herself more freely, feel more courageous in her creativity, and deepen her relationship with her partner.
The workshop is inspired by her recent training with Tami Lynn Kent in Holistic Pelvic Care, as well as her books Wild Feminine, Wild Mothering, and Wild Creative.
If you feel called to explore this work more deeply, she also offers individual, hands-on sessions. You can explore her work at www.taylortatum.com or book a free discovery call here.
