The Parkinson’s Gala Dinner celebrates outstanding contributions across the Parkinson’s community and marks the official launch of the Parkinson’s Support Fund™—helping local people access care while awaiting essential government-funded support.

Together, we will celebrate those making a meaningful difference in Parkinson’s care, research, services and community support—and help build stronger local support for people affected by Parkinson’s.

Why this evening matters
Improving life with Parkinson’s requires more than any one profession, service or organisation can provide. It takes clinicians, researchers, advocates, carers, community organisations and people with lived experience working together.
The Gala creates an opportunity to recognise that work, strengthen relationships across the Parkinson’s community and draw attention to an important local need.
People with Parkinson’s can face a gap between needing assistance and gaining access to formal supports through systems such as the NDIS and My Aged Care. The Parkinson’s Support Fund is being established to help address that gap locally.
Proceeds from the Gala will support the establishment and work of the Parkinson’s Support Fund.
Please note: The Gala is a separate event from The Parkinson’s Conference on Thursday 8 October. Separate tickets are required.

The inaugural Parkinson’s Industry Awards will recognise people and organisations making an outstanding contribution to the Parkinson’s community.
Awards will be presented across five categories:
- Professional Excellence Award
- Research & Innovation Award
- Emerging Professional Award
- Community Leadership Award
- Clare Cullinan Spirit Award

Nominations close: 25 September 2026
Nominations will be assessed by a cross-sector judging panel with relevant clinical, research, community and governance experience and are subject to terms.

You do not need to attend the Parkinson’s Conference to attend the Gala. Separate tickets are required for each event.
Supporting the Parkinson’s Support Fund
Proceeds from the Gala will support the establishment and work of the Parkinson’s Support Fund, helping strengthen practical local assistance for people with Parkinson’s and carers experiencing gaps in funded support.
Gala tickets are purchased in exchange for attendance and are not represented as tax-deductible donations.
