As the wheel of the year turns toward Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of harvest and the thinning of the veil between worlds, this Restorative Rest Ritual offers a slow, embodied way to meet the season. As the veil thins, we will be guided by oracle cards, deep introspection, and the receptive space that restorative yoga creates in order to connect with the Otherworld.Our evening's intention is to allow our bodies, hearts, and minds to begin to settle into the wisdom of the restorative, dark half of the year, honor the Spirits who guide the season of Samhain, and connect with and honor our spiritual and bloodline Ancestors to receive their guidance and show them our love.
Guided by Melissa Fikuart of Lumina Sage Healing & Yoga, the evening moves through a series of long, supported restorative postures paired with a Spirit of the Samhain season, a call to an Ancestor, or the draw of an oracle card. As the body settles and softens, these tools become a doorway of listening for what the ancestors, guides, and spirits of the Otherworld may have to offer in the stillness. Together, we'll honor what the harvest year has brought, release what's ready to be set down, and turn gently toward the dark, restorative half of the year.
This is a practice for slowing down alongside the season, not performing through it. No experience necessary with yoga or oracle cards, just a willingness to rest, release, and turn inward as the veil grows thin.
This workshop includes:
A series of long, supported restorative postures
Guidance from oracle cards and seasonal reflection
Space to connect with and honor Ancestors and Samhain Spirits
A slow, receptive practice designed for deep introspection
Closing circle and reflection
What to bring: An open mind and comfortable clothing.

Melissa Fikuart is a Yoga Alliance 200-hour RYT, Usui Reiki Master-Teacher, Sound Healing Practitioner, mom, wife, and grandmother. Through Lumina Sage Yoga & Healing, she offers Yin & Restorative Yoga, Reiki, Meditation, Intuitive Oracle Card Readings, and Sound Healing to guide you back home to your body and your spirit. Her mission is to hold space for your healing with compassion, love, and authenticity — so you can rest, reset, and reconnect to your soul purpose.

Friday Night In is an invitation for a night out to drop in: into the subconscious, into altered states of consciousness, into spiritual dimensions beyond our everyday awareness. Across this series, each evening at Anahata offers a different doorway inward through shamanic journeying, hypnosis, dreamwork, embodiment, or seasonal ritual, creating space to explore memory, intuition, guidance, and transformation. No experience is necessary for any session, just curiosity and a willingness to turn inward.
