NEW DATE: We do our best not to change the date or time of our book club, but with two pretty huge local candidate events happening on Sunday, we've decided to postpone this month's meeting for a week so that people - including our staff - have the opportunity to attend those events.
WE WILL MEET to discuss 'How We Learn to Be Brave' ONE WEEK LATER THAN SCHEDULED: Sunday, October 18 from 3-5 PM.
Hope to see you then!
The Open Table Book Club is a store-affiliated book club, requested by customers and community members who have expressed interest in a book club like this.
We will gather every other month (for now) in a curious and inclusive group after reading a book exploring questions surrounding faith, community, and life.
People from all faith backgrounds - or none at all - are welcome to attend, understanding that the goal is not discipleship or proselytization, but inclusive discussions that prompt participants to a place of curiosity and reflection.
For our next meeting, we are reading 'How We Learn to Be Brave' by the Episcopal Bishop of Washington, Marian Edgar Budde. While we do not require a book purchase to participate, we hope that you will consider purchasing from us (you can use discount code OPENTABLE for 20% off!), and also RSVPing here for planning purposes.
