The Open Lens Project - An identity based portrait exhibition honoring underrepresented stories in Chemung CountyThe Open Lens Project is a collection of new work featuring 15 community members from Chemung County whose stories are often left out of traditional portraiture. This includes queer community members, people of color, immigrants, and people overcoming addiction and housing insecurity. Each piece was created in collaboration with the participant, from concept to final image.
Join us Saturday, November 21st from 4pm to 7pm at Events by Denielle, 311 E Water Street, Elmira, NY, for a free public exhibition celebrating this work. Charcuterie by O.liv.e & Oak Charcuterie Curation.
This exhibition contains mature artistic content and is suggested for viewers 18+.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, administered by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
