The Oklahoma Twisters bring Western Swing to the Nation’s Capital with a lively, dance-first set of Texas two-steps, swing, waltzes, and polkas. Formed in 1995, the group has earned a warm reception at both public shows and private events, delivering the kind of upbeat, roots-rich music made for social dancers and listeners alike.
The band features George Welling on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jeff Reynolds on fiddle, electric mandolin, and vocals, Ira Gitlin on string bass and vocals, Lynn Kasdorf on steel guitar and vocals, Brian Alpert on drums, and Tom McLaughlin on lead guitar and fiddle.
