Thank you for joining Tony O and The Greatest Band Ever in celebrating the 5Oth anniversary of the landmark concert of The Last Waltz. The concert was performed on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. It was the farewell concert of The Band and multiple musical stars joined in to celebrate. Before the show began 5,000 people were served turkey dinners. This is what has become the inspiration for multiple organizations, bands and cities to come together around the Thanksgiving holiday and share performances of the concert which include food drives and fundraising for persons in need. Our performances of the concert benefit The Roadrunner Foodbank and this year we have added New Day as an additional benefactor.Tony Orant moved to the Albuquerque area 12 years ago and was struck by the need he saw here and across the US to support our local food banks. Being a professional musician, he knew that someday he would be able to help through music. This will be the fourth year Tony O and The Greatest Band Ever have performed The Last Waltz at The Historic Lobo Theater. Last year the show was also performed at Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery in Santa Fe. Over the past four years, Tony and the band have collected more than a ton of food for Roadrunner Food Bank. This year our goal is to deliver 10 thousand pounds of food and we are off to a great start having donated nearly 1200 pounds already!
For our performance we are delighted to include several new guest musicians from the area as well as our many returning stars. Tony O and The Greatest Band Ever will be the orchestra for the evening and includes Tony Orant, Timothy Gallegos, Brad Yablonsky, Michael Wiese, Rachel Ross and Kandy Ivy, David Holtkamp, Doug Bellen, Carli Marshall and Travis Rourk.
The cast of amazing New Mexico musical talent who will be appearing during the show include Levi Platero, Chris Dracup, Rodney Bowe, Debra Orlofsky, Zenobia Conkerite, Richard Malcolm, David Garcia, Nikelle Garcia, Ben Wallace and Don McIver.

PLEASE bring five non-perishable food donations to the show or drop off at multiple pick-up areas around the city for our food drive goal of 10,000 lbs. for the holidays. Follow this event page for details on other pre-show events and food donation locations. Monetary donations go to New Day which has been serving and helping young people since 1976! Another 50th anniversary!
Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, a Feeding America member, is the largest non-profit dedicated to solving food insecurity in New Mexico.
New Day provides services and transitional housing for youth in need.

VIP tickets are available for $40. These specially priced tickets include 1 hour (6 PM) early entry and pre-party with band members, seating choice, and specially-priced cocktails throughout the evening.
