Run and celebrate the biggest running weekend of the year in NYC. A chip-timed race through beautiful Flushing Meadow Corona Park . The course, THE ROCKET, is mostly flat with few turns and long straightaways that provide you with views of NYC, the Unisphere, the Fountain of the Planets, Meadow Lake, and of course the iconic Rocket Thrower, over a 3.27 mile loop for the half marathoners and a 3.1 mile loop for the 5k and 10K athletes. Perfect for a SHAKE OUT...if you're here for Sunday's big race.Parking is right next to the START/FINISH and the closest public transportation stop is just a 10 minute walk from the train station. Leave your valuables with the race team at the start.
Flushing Meadow Corona Park is the heart of Queens, runners from all over the world come here for an experience that locals cherish. Be prepared to experience this place for your first time or umpteenth time. The race will include full support on the course, water, Gatorade, and power gels, distributed at two points on the course providing opportunities for access throughout the race, approximately every mile. Multiple splits provided throughout to assure adherence to the course and provide you and your fans with real time updates on your progress. Afterward, pick up your unique runner's jersey and finisher's medal. A great time to go the distance in a beautiful setting.
