🎶 The New Generation of Jazz presents the Isaac Worland Quintet 🎶Genre: Cool Jazz / Hard Bop / Swing
Doors Open: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Live Music: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
About the Event: Isaac Worland is a third-year double bass student at the Jazz Music Institute. Isaac began his studies on electric guitar; however, once he started playing upright bass, he found himself unable to stop, utterly consumed by the instrument’s sonorous tone.
This 11 November performance will showcase the music that has made Isaac so hopelessly infatuated with the jazz medium. Drawing influence from the sounds of Christian McBride, Ron Carter, John Coltrane and Miles Davis’ Second Great Quintet, the Isaac Worland Quintet will explore the intensity, depth and musical freedom that have left such a lasting impression on these young jazz musicians.
Featuring Mason Harvey (tenor saxophone), Sam Ryan (trumpet), Lucius Reynolds (piano), Lochlan Robinson (drums and cymbals), and Isaac Worland (double bass), the quintet will pay an enthusiastic homage to the music that has so greatly inspired them, whilst still bringing their own unique interpretations to the repertoire.
