About this Event
Join artist Jordi Raga for an interactive walk and workshop this November. We’ll explore the landscape together and gather inspiration, focusing on the habitats, needs and ecology of birds and other flying animals. Your voice and ideas will help build The Nest - Stoke Common Park’s new public sculpture that belongs to our community.
We will meet at the Bishopstoke Cemetery car park (off Sewall Drive) and take a circular walk for around 90 minutes through Stoke Park Woods to Stoke Common Park and back, observing the resident birdlife and their habitats on route.
Oxford University ornithologist Professor Alex Kacelnik will be joining the walk and from 12-1pm will give a talk about his research at the Parish Council offices (next to the allotments off Sewall Drive). There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion afterwards, as well as free refreshments and access to a toilet.
