The Albanese Labor government is using Naoero (formerly known as Nauru) as a dumping ground for refugees and asylum-seekers.
It has given itself ICE-like powers to snatch people who it cannot deport to their home countries and to send them instead to the tiny island of Naoero in the South Pacific.
This racist cruelty comes at an enormous cost. And where there is big money, there are dubious dealings.
