Let us tell you about our summer long Warhammer 40'000 "The Muster at Armageddon Challenge" !!!Take part in our build and painting challenge as we task you to gather your forces to defend or lay siege to Armageddon!
⬛ WHAT IS THIS AND HOW YOU CAN TAKE PART? :
We want to give you every reason to begin a new army and to then to help you break down the building and painting of it for our parade day categories over the coming months where everyone can see your hard work. This may be familiar to some of you as it is similar to our NEW YEAR NEW ARMY challenges from previous years!
So what could this look like to you? This could be some of the contents of the new Armageddon box, a starter set or a choice of your own combat patrol or even your custom army roster. Your army should consist of a few things like the examples below..
Here are some example units for the below mentioned categories using the contents of Armageddon as an example;
◾TRUSTED RETINUE - Painted by July 25th parade day.
(Space Marines) - Vanguard Veterans, Intercessors, Eradicators.
(Orks) - Boyz, Gretchin.
◾REINFORCEMENTS - Painted by September 5th parade day.
(Space Marines) - Vanguard Veterans, Intercessors.
(Orks) - Boyz, Gretchin.
◾LORD OF BATTLE - Painted by 3rd October parade day.
(Space Marines) - Captain, Chaplain, Ancient or Librarian.
(Orks) - Warboss, Big Boss, Weirdboy, Painboy or Nob with Waaagh banner.
◾EARTHSHAKER & FINALE DAY - Painted by November 7th parade day.
(Space Marines) - Land Speeder.
(Orks) - Wartrakk, Big Mek Dakkarig.
◾HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY : Simply bring in your unit anytime during the week beforehand and leave it with us for our display on the weekend of the dates above. Then feel free to collect your entry once the weekend is over! (As a side note, Trusted retinue also coincides with our Golden Squig painting competition a week later, so you are welcome to leave it as an entry into the 'unit category' to also be entered into this, speak with staff in store for more details)
🏁 FINALE DAY : On our finale day we will ask you to bring in your finished army for a big display with everyone else's!
🎲 PLAY ACTIVITIES : Throughout this time, while you work on your projects we will have small narrative games where you can bring your miniatures in and roll some dice here in store! Keep an eye out for them on our Facebook feed.
🎖BATTLE HONOURS : For those of you working on your battle honours booklets, Everything outlined gives you loads of way of completing stamps!
🎨 IN STORE SUPPORT : We will also be supporting you all with our WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY DAYS throughout June & July. Come and use our space in store to build and paint your miniatures with staff on hand to help you if you wish. No need to book in, just rock up with what you need to work on your project!
