About this Event
The Muses is a living-room-style gathering created as a space for women (queer and trans inclusive) to come together in creativity, reflection, and shared humanity. Part open mic, part soul-nourishing conversation, and concluding with a guided singing bowl meditation, this evening is about connection and resonance.
Hosted in an intimate setting, the space will be arranged with a mix of padded floor seating, chairs for those with accessibility needs, and staircase seating. Cozy, relaxed, and intentionally communal.
While the open mic is central, you do not need to be a writer or performer to attend. This gathering is open to all women, whether you feel called to share on the mic or contribute to the conversation. The facilitated conversation is intended as food for the soul, where ideas can validate, give words to what we could not verbalize before, and perhaps sow seeds of inspiration for future creative expression.
This evening is a celebration of feminine energy in all its forms: intuitive, expressive, receptive, powerful, tender, and wise.

Meet Your Facilitator
Hi, I'm Jungle Flower (she/her).
I'm a spoken word poet and sound bath facilitator born and raised in Tkaronto/Toronto.
I've connected with so many women in the city with dope minds and deep hearts, and have felt a calling to host a women's gathering specifically like this for a while. It was only after hearing the following concepts from two iconic Toronto artists that everything finally came together.
From Jessie Reyez, I learned how many of her works were inspired not by toxic experiences but by amazing, hours-long conversations she'd had.
Via Melanie Fiona, I learned of a study that said women need a girls' night every 22 days in order to feel recharged and connected.
