About this Event
Duelists bring with them a preferred ruleset and go around challenging each other to duels throughout the day. The ruleset each duelist begins with is the one they will compete under by default, unless fencing under another duelist’s ruleset.
The ruleset for each individual match is decided by rock-paper-scissors — the winner gets to use their ruleset for that bout.
To prevent trolling or overly technical bouts (e.g., 1-hit hand snipes), all rulesets must include a minimum of 3 scoring strikes per duel. Beyond that, we recommend keeping your ruleset simple, both for your sake and your opponent’s — too many rules just slow things down.

⚖️ Conduct & Sportsmanship
Any competitor found to be using excessive force, intimidation, or bullying will face the following consequences:
1. First offense – Formal warning
2. Second offense – One win deducted from your total
3. Third offense – Ejection from the event

👑 Victory & Recognition
At the end of the day, the duelist with the most total wins will be crowned the Mustache King or Queen, and the charitable donation to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute will be made in their name, alongside the Lansing Longsword Guild and Papa VanSyckle’s Barbershop.
