Join us for Under the Dining Table, a soft launch event for the art publication Honey-Moon, exploring food as a site of cultural practice, of caring, of crafting and sharing. Learn about the creative journey that inspired Honey-Moon through short curatorial presentations of the menu, followed by a screening of Disease (2024) by artist Lio. Inviting participants to dwell in profound memories in relation to food, artist Danlu Peng will lead a writing and drawing activity that brings the ideas in the publication to life.

Visit the specially curated table during the (12-6pm), and pick up a free copy of the limited edition publication.

Honey-Moon features the works of: Lio, Tatiana Zancajo-Lugo & Leanna Ginter from Cartilage, FluidTable, Danlu Peng, Ya Lucia Kang, Andrea Donadon & Fred Yu Shi, and Juliette Ezaoui.

This project is curated by students Riccardo Greco, Abby Wenjing Huang, Alice Ya-Hsin Luo, Cecilia Wenyan Ma, Lily Tanprasert, Elena Jiaxin Wong, Janelle Jiabin Xu, Gaga Xingcheng Xu, and Lilian Zancajo-Lugo from the MA Curating and Collections at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London in collaboration with The Mosaic Rooms.

Artist bios

Danlu Peng is a multidisciplinary artist with training in visual arts and theatre-making. She has a strong passion in using art as a medium for meaningful social interactions. She received her B.A. in Visual Arts from Columbia University in New York. Noteworthy works include the devised theatre Of the Cut at Young Vic and her participation in the group exhibition What’s the future of art? at Tate Modern.

Lio is constantly observing and scrutinising others or her own life using a psychoanalytic perspective, and waiting for some clever merger from which she can extract inspiration as the cornerstone of her work.
