You are warmly invited to the launch of The Moon on a Stick - a new Schools and Culture Network and Cultural Education Framework for Knowsley.
The Moon on a Stick has been developed as part of This Place, This Stage, Knowsley’s Place Partnership. It is founded on a shared belief that every child and young person in Knowsley should have access to inspiring, ambitious and joyful cultural and creative experiences.
At this special launch event, we will share the findings of an extensive six-month consultation involving more than 400 children and young people from across Knowsley, alongside school teachers and headteachers, artists and cultural organisations. We will explore what they told us about the creative opportunities currently available, the barriers children and schools experience, and their ambitions for the future of cultural education in the borough.
Most importantly, the event will officially launch Knowsley’s new Schools and Culture Network: bringing education, council services and the cultural sector together to strengthen creative learning, support arts subjects and create more opportunities for Knowsley’s children and young people.

- Artists and creative practitioners
- Cultural and community organisations
- Partners committed to improving children and young people’s access to creativity and culture

This Place This Stage is all about putting children and young people centre stage in Knowsley's cultural future.
Delivered by the Knowsley Place Partnership, made up of Culture Knowsley, Shakespeare North Playhouse, Heart of Glass, Ad Lib and MAKE CIC some of the boroughs leading cultural organisations the programme is creating new opportunities for young people to explore their creativity, share their voices and discover pathways into the creative and cultural industries. Supported by Arts Council England.
