Join us Thursday, October 22 for the opening of The Menopause Effect: An Appalachian Unmasking, a black and white photography exhibition by Anna Mullins and live music by Azlan Montgomery!Anna has spent months photographing women across Appalachia, many of whom had never spoken openly about how menopause changed their bodies, their moods, and their lives. The result is a collection of portraits that are honest, tender, funny, and unapologetic, set against the porches, kitchens, back roads, and hollers we call home.
The show asks a question worth talking about: is menopause political?
Come meet the artist, see the work in person, and be part of a conversation that is long overdue. Bring your mom, your aunt, your best friend, or anyone who needs to hear they are not alone.
