Photography begins with light.
Long before digital cameras and screens, one of photography's earliest image-making processes transformed light into lasting impressions. In this workshop, participants are invited to explore cyanotype through a series of hands-on experiments using watercolour paper, botanical materials and found objects, discovering how composition, light and time work together to create distinctive blue images.
As the workshop unfolds, participants will take their exploration beyond paper, applying the process to ceramic tableware and creating a one of a kind piece that brings photography into everyday objects. Blending alternative photography with craft, The Memory of Light encourages curiosity, experimentation and an appreciation for the quiet beauty of the unexpected.
No prior experience is necessary.
