The Martin/Lockett Quintet: Miles at 100!
Join the Martin-Lockett Quintet for an evening celebrating the centenary of the "Prince of Darkness". Bridging two generations of British jazz, "visionary" trumpeter Alistair Martin (Tom Smith, Shirley Smart) and legendary saxophonist Mornington Lockett (Ronnie Scott, Stan Tracey) explore the chameleonic legacy of Miles Davis!
From the iconic cool of the 1950s to the fiery innovations of his later eras, this is a powerhouse tribute to an icon of style, and restless reinvention.
Line up:
Alistair Martin - trumpet
Mornington Lockett - tenor sax
Misha Mullov-Abbado - bass
Kezia Abuoma - piano
Miranda Radford - drums
