About The Lamplighter
The Lamplighter is a warm, traditional corner pub dating back to 1871, formerly known as The Overstone Arms. It has been a family-run, independent free house since 2009 and is well known for its quality real ales, farmhouse ciders, and craft beers.
The jazz nights take place upstairs in the Drawing Room, a cosy and intimate space, with a 'hidden jazz club' feel.
About The Lincoln Noel Trio
The Lincoln Noel Trio was formed in August 1999 to meet an engagement in Milton Keynes. They enjoyed the process of rehearsing and spending time together so much that they decided to carry on. Today, The Lincoln Noel Trio is a well presented and much sought-after ensemble that has performed across the UK.
Lincoln Noel - Keys and Vocals
Lincoln Noel is a classically trained British pianist and versatile jazz artist with an entertaining stage presence and decades of professional experience. Born in Northampton and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, he has performed everything from concerto repertoire to West End musicals and led his own jazz trio for many years.
As leader of The Lincoln Noel Trio, he blends swing, standards, and broad stylistic fluency in settings ranging from intimate jazz nights and concert stages to weddings, parties and corporate events, always connecting with audiences through musicality and charm.
Beyond performing, Lincoln is also a seasoned teacher and music director, known locally as 'The Maestro' and respected for his deep repertoire, and engaging live performances.
Full band details to be confirmed shortly.
Further Information
Accessibility: The jazz nights at this venue take place upstairs and are accessible by stairs only, owing to the age and structure of the building. Step-free access is not available. I recognise that not all venues are fully accessible. For this reason, the main jazz nights are held at The Sun Inn, where accessible facilities are available and assistance can be provided to support access to the venue. If you would like to discuss access requirements, seating, or need assistance in choosing a suitable event, please get in touch. I will always do my best to make reasonable adjustments so that everyone can enjoy live jazz.
For more information on the jazz night, please email Daniel at [email protected] or call 07950 705488. Alternatively, please visit the FAQ page.
