About this Event

The Legacy Line Trolley Experience is a one-of-a-kind guided journey through Philadelphia that brings the powerful stories of Black women leaders to life.

Curated by Center 1968, this immersive experience travels through Germantown and Center City, highlighting the homes, institutions, and historic spaces connected to trailblazing women who shaped politics, medicine, arts, education, and civil rights.

Along the way, guests will discover the legacies of women such as Sadie T. M. Alexander, Marian Anderson, Caroline LeCount, Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, Sarah Bass Allen, Ora Washington, and C. Delores Tucker—women whose courage and leadership helped shape the city and the nation.

The tour blends history, storytelling, and culture, with stops that include historic homes, museums, churches, and community landmarks that continue to preserve and celebrate Black women’s contributions.

Each experience is designed to be both educational and unforgettable, offering guests a deeper understanding of Philadelphia’s history through the lens of the women who helped build it.
