About this Event
In this workshop series, Heru focuses on the breath itself. Qigong opens the body and moves Qi. This series goes beneath that to how we breathe throughtout the day when nobody is watching.
Heru TchaasAmen holds a Buteyko Clinic practitioner certification and a Ren Xue Qigong instructor certification. This series is where those two traditions meet, a rare combination of practices. Here's what you can look forward to:
Week One: The Nose and the Ground
Begin by exploring the foundations of nasal breathing and the effects that habitual mouth breathing can have on the body. You will measure your Control Pause to establish a personal starting point and gain a practical way to observe changes in your breathing over time.
Week Two: Less Is More
Explore reduced breathing and the role of carbon dioxide tolerance in respiratory health. This session challenges the idea that more breath is always better and introduces practices designed to help you breathe more efficiently. You will revisit your Control Pause and begin observing how your breathing patterns respond.
Week Three: Breath and Qi
Connect the breath with the Lower Dantian and Yuan Gong movement. This session brings the principles of breathwork and Qigong together, helping you experience how intentional breathing can support movement, awareness, and the circulation of Qi.
Week Four: Carrying It Out the Door
Bring the practice into daily life. This final session explores breathing as it relates to sleep, walking, stress, and the demands of an ordinary workweek. You will leave with a realistic personal practice designed to remain useful long after the series ends.
To gain the most benefit, we encourage you to join us for the complete series, however, you may attend the topics that align most with your interests. Individual sessions can be found listed in our eventbrite events.
