The Last Revel is a Minneapolis-based Americana and indie-folk trio known for their heartfelt melodies, rich harmonies, and deeply personal songwriting. The band consists of guitarist Lee Henke, banjoist Ryan Acker, and fiddler Vinnie Donatelle, whose combined voices create the powerful harmonies at the heart of their sound.Formed in Minneapolis in 2011 after Henke and Acker met in college and later connected with Donatelle, the group quickly established themselves through relentless touring.
In their early years, The Last Revel performed nearly 200 shows annually, building a dedicated following while embracing the challenges and resilience of life in the Midwest. After years of intense touring led to burnout, the band went on hiatus in 2019 to reconnect with themselves and rediscover what music meant to them. Henke and Acker eventually reunited, and the trio officially returned to music in 2021 with a renewed sense of purpose and appreciation for creating together. Their 2023 reunion album, Dovetail, introduced their music to longtime fans and a new generation of listeners, leading to sold-out shows across the country.
Their latest album, Gone for Good, was produced by Trampled by Turtles frontman Dave Simonett and explores life as artists, life on the road, and navigating uncertain times. The record reflects the band's evolution toward collaboration, connection, and embracing who they are while creating music that resonates with their audience.
For The Last Revel, every performance is a celebration of friendship, perseverance, and the idea that each show could be their last—making every moment count.
