Join us in celebrating the 200th anniversary of the release of James Fenimore Cooper's most influential novel, The Last of the Mohicans, with a showing of the heralded 1992 film adaptation starring Daniel Day-Lewis. This epic historical drama directed by Michael Mann follows Hawkeye (Day-Lewis) and his Mohican brother Uncas on a harrowing rescue mission during the French and Indian War.A brief presentation about James Fenimore Cooper and artist Thomas Cole, who painted scenes from Cooper's novel, will precede the film. Complementary popcorn and water will be served.
