Redline Performing Arts (RPA) proudly presents Jason Robert Brown's beloved musical, The Last Five Years, September 24–28, 2026, at The Historic Broadway Theater, 816 E. Broadway in downtown Louisville.One of the most celebrated contemporary musicals of the last two decades, The Last Five Years tells the story of a five-year relationship between novelist Jamie Wellerstein and aspiring actress Cathy Hiatt. What makes the musical extraordinary is its unique structure: Jamie's story unfolds chronologically while Cathy's unfolds in reverse, with the two characters crossing paths only once—at their wedding. The result is a deeply moving exploration of love, ambition, communication, and the ways two people can experience the same relationship so differently.
To showcase the richness of the material, RPA will feature two exceptional casts, giving audiences the opportunity to experience fresh interpretations of the beloved score.
