About this Event
THE LAND OF MILK AND HONEY
A seven-part journey into the body, connection and aliveness
A place for you.
What are you ready to shed before you enter the next chapter?
The premise
The year has moved through you.
Relationships. Decisions. Losses. Gains. Discoveries. Some biggg themes. There have been things that changed you. Unexpected turns, both challenging and beautiful. Things you've processed… and things you haven't quite got to yet.
And now we’re heading towards another new year.
Before the energy of the Fire Goat arrives - before you set intentions and make plans and declare what this next chapter will be, and who you’ll be in it - there’s something more valuable than any of that.
Landing where you actually are.
The Land of Milk and Honey is a 7-session journey across the weeks leading into Chinese Lunar New Year, created for both men and women. One full day, once a fortnight, 13 weeks total.
A group container where you actually get to land - in your body, in the year that’s been, in yourself. A place to integrate and create clarity for the year ahead.
Held with precision and warmth through movement, inquiry and deep nervous system work… and the particular magic of doing this alongside other good humans.
This is a place to come back to yourself before you step into what’s next.
The Land of Milk and Honey, baby ☺️
What we’ll be doing
Each session is a full day of embodied inner work. Expect movement and stillness, dance and quiet. Nervous system settling after a rather large year. Inquiry that doesn’t happen in your head but settles gently all the way down through the torso and into your butt. Some good deep breaths. Some good deep connection.
We’ll be moving with what the year has stirred: the themes, the relationships, the parts of yourself that have been alchemising quietly in the background. The stuff that hasn’t quite had its full moment yet. Or - the stuff that has, and that is ready to be anchored more steadily through your being.
Alongside all of that, we'll make room for what wants to be born - what wants to take shape, be created, or come alive for the year ahead.
We’ll be moving with your essence, however that is expressed in and through you.
Because the journey unfolds over 13 weeks, there's time for the shifts to settle - so what opens up in one gathering can keep unfolding in your life between sessions.
By the time Chinese New Year arrives, the intention is: you’ve shed, you've bared, you've integrated. And you feel aligned.
Settled in your body. Open in your heart. Strong. Clear about who you are, and what you're carrying into the Fire Goat year.
Strong spine. Open heart. A full, quiet, gorgeous arrival into the new.
This is for you if
- You've had a full year and want to meet what it's brought up before simply moving on.
- You can feel a new chapter approaching and want to enter it clear, open and settled in yourself. Energetically and somatically... Ready.
- You’re interested in a high-quality container where you can explore yourself - your inner world, your nervous system, your year, your essence, your purpose… beyond the thinking mind.
- You value embodied work and want to go deep, in a group held with real precision and care.
- OR you've been wanting movement to become a practice in your life. Not just a class every now and then, but something you return to - something that gradually becomes part of how you live. This is a structure that builds that, gently and consistently, over 13 weeks.
- You love this work and/or my ceremonies (or are curious about it) - the movement, the depth, the intentions, the room full of good humans journeying together. And you know I make a banging playlist haha.
- You’re someone who feels things fully, and you’d like a place where that’s not at allll the thing to manage - it’s in fact the medicine 🌿

A note from me - Petra
I’ve been doing this work long enough to know that the most powerful thing isn’t the goal-setting or the visioning or the new chapter declaration.
We can understand ourselves beautifully and still find ourselves doing the same old things.
Sometimes what’s missing is the space to actually feel what’s happened. To let it land.
That’s what I want to make room for in the Land of Milk and Honey.
A place to put some things down, to come back into your body, to be with other people, without having to hold it all together, or all alone.
So we can enter the next chapter with a little more of ourselves available for the life that’s waiting for us.
I’d love to do this with you.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions
1. I've never done somatic or embodiment work before. Is this suitable for me?
Absolutely. You don’t need any previous experience, and you don’t need to arrive knowing anything particular about your body or nervous system. I’ll guide you through everything.
The best places to start are with curiosity and a willingness to meet yourself... and honestly, sometimes a little bit of not-knowing is an asset in this work. There’s no right way to do it. Just come as you are.
2. Do I need to be a dancer or have movement experience?
Nope. This isn’t a dance class and there’s no choreography to learn or standard to meet or 'right way to do it'. We’ll move in lots of different ways - sometimes expressive and free, sometimes quiet and subtle. It’s about your authentic experience. There is no right way to move here, only your way.
3. Will I need to share personal things in the group? How much sharing is involved?
There will be opportunities to reflect, share and be witnessed, but you won't be expected to disclose anything you're not ready to or don’t want to share. Essentially you can go as deep or light as you like – the work will meet you wherever you’re at.
We’ll build a container where honesty feels safe and natural, not forced. People tend to surprise themselves with what they’re willing to share when the room feels right - but there’s never pressure to disclose anything before you’re ready. Respect for each other's privacy and boundaries is an important part of the process.
4. I'm going through something quite heavy right now. Is this the right time for me to join?
It depends. You don’t need to be in an easy season of life. Making space to feel, reflect and connect can be especially valuable when things are full and a lot. But this is a group process, not individual therapy, and some things need 1:1 support alongside or instead of group work.
If you’re not sure, just reach out before you book. A quick conversation will tell us both what we need to know.
5. What happens during a typical day?
We run from 10am to 5.30pm. Within that, expect a blend of movement, somatic practice, nervous system work, inquiry and group connection - with breaks, time to integrate, and space to just breathe.
Some parts of the day will be more active and expressive. Others will be quieter. I follow what the group needs rather than rigidly sticking to a plan, so each day has its own shape, within a clear structure. What I can say is that there’s always room to meet yourself where you actually are.
6. What do I need to bring or wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move and rest in. Layers. Water. Lunch. A journal if you like writing things down.
You don’t need to prepare anything or arrive with a particular goal. Just come as you are - that’s truly all that’s needed. The work itself is The Thing.
7. Do I need to attend all seven gatherings?
Well - the continuity is the point. We’ll be building something together across these seven days and 13 weeks, and each gathering feeds into the next. Missing sessions means missing threads - for you and for the group.
Life happens and I get that. But please look at the dates before you commit and make sure they work for you. If you know there’s a clash, reach out before booking and we’ll figure out if it still makes sense for you to join.
8. What happens if I book and then can't attend, or the event doesn't go ahead?
Because this is a multi-session group journey, your place is held for the full container - individual missed sessions aren’t refundable.
The group will go ahead with a minimum of 8 participants. If we don’t reach that and need to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund of everything you’ve paid.
If you have questions about your specific situation before booking - payment plans, timing, anything else - just reach out. I’d rather have that conversation upfront than have you sitting with uncertainty 🌿

Who I Am – Facilitator Bio
I’m a somatic relational practitioner and embodiment coach, the person people come to when they’re done with work that only goes skin deep.
For more than 30 years I’ve been exploring the relationship between the body, the psyche, the nervous system, and the soul.... essentially, what it means to be human. Initially as a seeker and student, and now for over a decade as a practitioner.
My training includes a degree in Psychological Science from Australian Catholic University, IFS Trauma Therapy, Psychosomatic Bodywork Therapy, and years of mentorship with internationally recognised intimacy and embodiment teacher Michaela Boehm. I was also an apprentice in the Rainbow Lineage of the Paqos - a tradition of healing rooted in the Andean world that works with the luminous body and the deep intelligence of the earth.
I bring all of this into the room.
In practice, that means I can meet you wherever you are. In the wound. In the body. In the relational pattern you keep repeating. In the younger part of you that’s still running the show. In the grief you haven’t been able to touch. In the life you sense is possible but can’t quite reach.
I work with the whole person - nothing is off the table, and nothing gets left behind.
What I specialise in:
Trauma integration · somatic embodiment and nervous system regulation · IFS parts work · intimacy / relational patterns · embodiment and identity · ancestral and shamanic traditions.
I’ve worked for over a decade with people around the world in 1:1 sessions, retreats and pilgrimages in Peru, Asia, Australia and NZ, and in group workshops that create space for meaningful shifts.
The thread through all of it is the same: I believe that when a human being is truly met - in their body, their story, their wholeness - something fundamental shifts.
I’ve never stopped being moved by that 🌿
