About this Event
Title: The Lancet Series on the Digital Determinants of Health
Abstract:
The Digital Determinants of Health (DDoH) refers to the ways that digital technologies and business models shape human and planetary health. Advocates, policymakers, and researchers around the world are increasingly recognizing the urgency of addressing the DDoH, and momentum around the field of the DDoH is growing. In October 2026, The Lancet published a series on the DDoH, consisting of three papers that define the concept, review evidence, and propose directions for governance. This event brings together authors of the Lancet series from Canada and Mexico with senior policy leaders in Canada to discuss the series and the implications of the DDoH in Canada.
