Създадени в Саутхемптън през 2010 г., The KVB започват като солов проект на Nicholas Wood, а година по-късно към него се присъединява Kat Day - вокалист, клавирист и визуален артист. Оттогава двамата живеят в свят, изпълнен с cold wave, post-punk, shoegaze и минималистична електроника, в който атмосферата, създадена от музиката им, сякаш сама се превръща в лиричен герой.
Музиката им е студена и хипнотична - елегантен брутализъм, който се преплита в минималистично отброяване на секундите, минутите, дните. Те са зимна реалност, която те обикаля, красива и студена.
Носят следи от Cabaret Voltaire и The Jesus and Mary Chain, но през годините се отварят към по-пространствена електроника, shoegaze и по-тъмни, индустриални влияния.

Formed in Southampton in 2010, The KVB began as Nicholas Wood’s solo project, with Kat Day joining him a year later as a vocalist, keyboardist and visual artist.
Since then, the two have built a world of cold wave, post-punk, shoegaze and minimalist electronics, where atmosphere is as important as the music itself.
Their sound is cold and hypnotic - an elegant brutalism woven into the minimalist counting of seconds, minutes, days. Their music is a winter that surrounds you - beautiful and cold.
You can hear traces of Cabaret Voltaire and The Jesus and Mary Chain in their sound, but over the years The KVB have opened it up to more spacious electronics, shoegaze and darker industrial influences.
