Jessica graduated from LSBU with a first-class degree in Law and qualified as a solicitor with Beck Fitzgerald Lawyers in 2024
We would love to invite you to an event celebrating Jess’ life and her incredible achievements. Jess made such a significant contribution to her clients and our community during her legal career.
She touched the lives of all she met.
We have arranged an event to bring together her legal family, her family and friends and those who will be inspired by her legacy. At the event, the Jessica Aviss memorial award will be awarded to a current law student who is best able to identify and explore barriers to access to justice, which was an issue Jessica was passionate about during her time as a lawyer.
The running order will be as follows:

6.10 – 6.20pm: Being a neurodivergent expert within the family justice system - Vinice Cowell
6.20 – 6.30pm: What steps have been taken so far to break down barriers to neurodiverse parties in the family justice system? - FLANC (Family Law and the Neurodivergent Community)
