UNIT XVI: Italian Americans in Sports - Figures from a variety of sports are featured: Margaret Russo, the DiMaggio Brothers, Yogi Berra (baseball); Phil and Tony Esposito (hockey); Vince Lombardi, Joe Montana (football); Rocky Marciano (boxing).

Unit XVII: Social Activists - Italians have big hearts, and in this country they have done much to help those who are oppressed or in need of a hand up. Among the most famous are Mother Cabrini, Carlo Tresca, Arturo Giovanniti, and Fr. James Groppi.
