About this Event
Leadership in schools is deeply human work.
This inaugural Human Side of Leadership Conference brings together 100 school and trust leaders from Leeds and beyond for a thoughtful and honest conversation about the realities of leadership today.
Through keynote reflections, panel discussions and open dialogue, the conference will explore the pressures leaders navigate, the cultures we build in our schools and how we sustain the people who lead them.
The programme includes:
• Keynote: The Human Side of Leadership – Shaheen Myers
• Keynote: Why I Still Love This Job – reflections from Kate Burton Principal at White Rose Academies Trust
• Panel discussion addressing the realities of complaints culture
• Panel discussion on creating cultures where staff and students flourish
• Open Q&A with the audience
• Closing reflections
The conference runs from 9:45am–2:30pm, recognising the realities of school leadership and the commitments many leaders hold around the school day.
A carefully curated gathering designed to create space for honest conversations, shared experiences and real leadership.
