The House in Detail – Create Your Own Postcard at Marble Hill
How often do we look at a beautiful house without really seeing the details that make it special?
Join Drawn Heritage for a creative two-hour experience that invites you to slow down, look closer and discover the architecture of Marble Hill in a completely different way.
Your adventure begins with a specially prepared envelope containing five photographic clues, a map and your own blank postcard. Using the clues, you’ll explore the exterior of Marble Hill and search for hidden architectural details from elegant stone scrolls and decorative windows to the grand pediment, entrance and golden weather vane.
Along the way, you’ll learn a little about the architectural features you discover and begin to notice the shapes, symmetry, textures and craftsmanship that give Marble Hill its character.
Once you’ve found all five treasures, return to our workshop area, choose the detail that inspired you most and create your own hand-painted postcard, with guidance from Mihai and Bianca, founders of Drawn Heritage.
Drawn Heritage was born from our shared love of art, architecture and historic places. We began creating postcards during our own visits as a way of slowing down, noticing overlooked details and taking home something more personal than a photograph. Now we invite you to do the same.
No previous artistic experience is needed and all materials are provided. Suitable for adults and children aged 7+.
Once complete, your postcard will be finished with our personalised handmade lino-printed Drawn Heritage stamp before you take it home as your own memory of Marble Hill.

Each workshop can be enjoyed individually, and you’re always welcome to return to a favourite, but we encourage you to complete all three and experience Marble Hill from a new perspective each time.
Complete the full series and you’ll receive a special Artist of Marble Hill certificate, along with the chance to have your postcards exhibited on the English Heritage website.
