Unity Church of Castro Valley welcomes the community on Sunday, November 29, 2026, for “The Gifts We Bring: There’s Room on the Tree for Everyone,” the opening celebration of its Holy Days series, The Holy Is Here. As the Christmas season begins, we are invited to look beyond the ornaments, lights, and decorations to discover their deeper spiritual meaning. What if the greatest gifts we bring to this season aren't wrapped in beautiful paper, but are the love, kindness, wisdom, creativity, and unique presence we bring to one another? Drawing from Unity teachings and the wisdom of spiritual traditions, this uplifting message explores how each of us contributes something essential to the larger community of Life. The service will include a participatory Christmas Tree Trimming and Ornament Ceremony, inviting congregants to place symbolic ornaments on the tree as we reflect on the spiritual qualities they represent. Each ornament becomes a reminder that our individual gifts contribute to something greater than ourselves. Together, we will create a living symbol of belonging, light, and possibility. Whether you have attended Unity for years or are visiting for the first time, there is room for you and the gifts you bring. Come discover how the Holy may already be expressing through you—and how your presence helps illuminate the world.
