About this Event
Across the UK, the rising cost of living is placing increasing pressure on households—but for many Black women, the impact goes deeper than finances. It shows up as stress, burnout, anxiety, and the silent weight of holding everything together.
This Community Assembly creates a dedicated space for Black women to come together, be heard, and explore the often-overlooked mental health impact of the financial crisis.
This is more than a conversation—it’s a space for understanding, connection, and practical solutions.
What to expect
Join us for an evening at the Karibu Centre where we will:
- Open up honest conversations about financial pressure and mental wellbeing
- Hear from experienced speakers who understand both the professional and lived realities
- Take part in interactive workshops focused on coping strategies, resilience, and new opportunities
- Explore pathways to income generation, including business start-up ideas and support
- Connect with other Black women in a supportive, empowering environment
We will close the evening with a Caribbean meal, creating space to relax, connect, and build community.
