2025 Boston “Best Jazz Artist of the Year” Jared Sims's Hellbender is a powerhouse, groove-heavy supergroup that blurs the lines between heavy funk, psychedelic rock, and high-octane improvisation. While rooted in deep musical expertise, this isn't highbrow, esoteric jazz - it’s dynamic, loud, funky fusion - a blast for anyone who loves raw instrumental energy, intense grooves, and epic guitar jams.
Jared Sims's electric sax leads this mighty crew of area all-stars which features one of the most talented trio of guitarists you'll likely ever see perform together in Boston - Andrew Stern, Steve Fell and Jeff Lockhart - as well as James Rohr on keys, Randy Wooten on drums and Jess Woo-Woo Williams on bass.
This will be an epic, not-be-missed collaboration. Come join the fun!
