The Heart Song- Beyond the First Note

Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents a musical collaboration between Parvathy Baul and George Brooks, bringing together the mystic traditions of Baul music and the improvisational energy of jazz.

Rooted in Baul philosophy, folk wisdom and mystic poetry, Parvathy Baul's evocative singing and storytelling meet George Brooks' expressive saxophone in a dialogue across musical traditions. Blending colloquial Bengali songs with contemporary jazz, the performance creates space for musical exploration, improvisation and shared expression.
