About this Event
LOCATION: MANHATTAN, NYC
The Heart on the Page is curated by Australian interdisciplinary artist and creative producer Toni Short, and co-hosted alongside creative activist and writer Joni Daidone and master memoirist Sylvie Bertrand.
This summer, Manhattan NYC, join us for an immersive retreat of creative exploration and expression rooted in body, voice, memory, and story.
Together, we will write, paint, move, reflect, and create within an intimate, collaborative and supportive environment, culminating in a celebratory salon sharing stories generated during the retreat.
Guided by three master artists and mentors, you’ll move from deep inner listening and sensory exploration to shaping your memories and experiences into a personal story on the page. Through supportive creative exercises, reflection, and narrative guidance, you’ll develop a written and/or visual work to share at a culminating live public salon with friends, family, and community.
This multi-disciplinary creative retreat will move participants through a four-stage creative evolution.
Stage 1: Body | Somatic Listening with Toni Short.
Stage 2: Voice | Sensory Reflection with Joni Daidone.
Stage 3: Page | Narrative Truth with Sylvie Bertrand.
Stage 4: Stage | A Live Public Salon Showcase for your guest circle.
