About this Event
The Heart of Connection is a two-hour movement experience for anyone who longs to feel more connected — to themselves, to music, and to the people around them.
This workshop is not about perfect turns or impressive footwork. It is about presence. About learning to listen with your body. About moving in a way that feels grounded, natural, and alive.
You will explore:
• Partner connection and energetic awareness
• Lead and follow as a conversation, not control
• Breath and musicality
• Trust, sensitivity, and flow
• Moving in a way that feels good in your body
No partner required.
No experience required.
Just an open heart.
Whether you have never danced before or have years of experience, this space is an invitation to return to why we dance in the first place:
Because it feels good.
Because it connects us.
Because it brings us back to ourselves.
Come explore the heart of connection!
✨ Want to get a little glimpse of the energy?
Before shifting into connection-based movement spaces, Julia spent many years deeply immersed in the world of Latin dance performance and training.
You’ll see that while Julia comes from a professional salsa background, her focus has now moved beyond performance and competition. Her passion centers on helping people rediscover dance and movement as a way to reconnect — with themselves, with others, and with the present moment.

♡ A little about the facilitator:
Julia is a professionally trained salsa dancer since 2015. She first started learning in Ottawa, when she went out to her first social not knowing what to expect.. that night she fell in love with dance! What started as a passion quickly became a dedicated pursuit, leading her to train in Montreal and eventually move to Milan, Italy, where she took her dancing to the next level.
Over the years, she has performed and competed on stages in different countries, and has trained with internationally renowned teachers including Karel Flores, Tanya and Adolfo Indacochea, Fernando Sosa, Karen and Ricardo, Luka and Jenalyn, and other respected teachers in the Latin dance community.
Through years of technical training, styling, performance, and competition, she discovered something deeper:
Behind all the steps…
is connection.
Connection to your own body.
Connection to your breath.
Connection to the music.
Connection to the person in front of you.
