About this Event
The Heart & Joy of Germany
International soprano Jena Carpenter was born and raised in Idaho, and through her personal and musical experience abroad maintains dual citizenship with Germany. The Heart & Joy of Germany takes us on a musical journey spanning more than two centuries of German-speaking culture — beginning in the world of Mozart and the late eighteenth century and traveling through Romanticism, changing social and artistic movements, the unforgettable world of German Schlager, and ultimately into the music of the twenty-first century.
Featuring Idaho's renown pianist, Sean Rogers
This series will showcase the 1878 Weber Grand Piano (part of the Idaho State Historical Society's permanent collection).
Soon, you'll be able to check out the 2027 lineup as we continue our “Here We Have Idaho” series featuring the Basque, Italian, French & other communities! Stay tuned through !
