About this Event
Hosted by the Violence Prevention Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) here in New Hanover County, this summit brings together HR professionals, nonprofit leaders, government staff, educators, and business leaders for an honest conversation about trauma-informed workplace policies surrounding wage equity and survivor focused policies – and how they transform organizations and the people within them.
You will hear directly from those who have lived experiences, and from organizational leaders who are actively championing policies that support survivors, advance wage equity, and prevent secondary trauma in high-impact roles.
What to Expect
Two Focused Panel Conversations
- Survivor-Focused Workplace Policies – how organizations create space and support for employees who have experienced interpersonal violence.
- Wage Equity & Parental Leave – trauma-informed approaches to compensation, family support, and creating cultures where all employees can thrive.
Whether you work in HR, a non-profit, government, education, small business, or simply care about creating healthier workplaces – this is for you.
Trauma-informed workplaces create safer, healthier communities. Yet these examples are not always visible or accessible in our region. This summit is about bringing awareness and peer learning to leaders already doing this work – and inspiring others to begin.
