Join us at Otley Common on Friday October 9th as The Halls Of Ridiculous present a handful of guest stand up comedians intertwined around some hilarious improv madness .... it promises to be an electric night of comedy. The Halls Of Ridiculous are a multi-award winning improvised sketch duo from Yorkshire who are "a breath of fresh air to the UK comedy scene!" They combine lightning-fast improvised comedy with high-octane character sketches. But here's the twist - every bit of hilarity is conjured up on the spot, fuelled by the audience's suggestions, ideas, and occasionally, their wonderfully weird imaginations.
Featuring Chris Lumb and Phil Allan-Smith, The Halls Of Ridiculous show is a bit like 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' ... but with a modern sketchy twist!
In 2022, their Edinburgh Show 'The Halls of Ridiculous' earned a stellar 5-star review from EdFringe Review, hailed as 'a euphoric experience, the best show of the Fringe'.
Riding high on this success, they went on to sell out shows at the 2022, 2023, & 2024 Leicester Comedy Festival and the 2025 & 2026 Rik Mayall Comedy Festival.
Their comedic prowess was recognised in 2023 when they clinched the 'Best Alternative Act' title at The Yorkshire Comedy Awards and secured the Southport Comedy Awards' prestigious 'New Comedian of The Year Award'.
In 2024 & 2025 they were personally asked by TV comedian Russell Kane to support him on his 'Hyperactive' nationwide tour - playing some of the UK's biggest theatres.
The icing on the cake was back in July 2025 when they were shortlisted for the prestigious 'BBC New Comedy Award'.
