We are back for the SECOND edition of the Half-Baked Cabaret!This time, it will be at Cafe Marigold, by Laurier!
This is a community gathering event for creatives that encourages unprecious creation, trying out new ideas, and failing together!
The goal is to create a space for collaboration and sharing while taking the pressure off of polished performances. This is a space to practice being BAD at something: maybe an attempt to write poetry, cure stagefright, be funny, try a new SKILL, a new BIT, a new CHARACTER.
Tickets are PWYC (suggested donation of $10) to pay workshop facilitators and no one is turned away for lack of funds!
3pm - 5pm: Creation and Workshop section
- Semi-structured meet-and-great creation space
- Crafting materials and workshop stations
- Feel free to bring your own crafts and projects!
5pm - 6pm: Open-mic style CABARET (open-mic style!)
- Sign up at the event or in advance
- Performing is totally optional, and everything from show-and-tell of your favourite rock to a rock opera clown show goes
